Let Me Hear From You!

Guys,

I'd like to start some conversation on who is playing!

Let's use this post to let others know who you are and if you will be playing, it would be great if you'd share some info on yourself/hockey ability/what number you prefer/position or any of that stuff.

I'll start!

I've been skating just over 2 months now, I've skated a bunch and have played pickup hockey at least twice a week. I'm coming along I'd say better than average. Watching the other I-League teams play I'd say I can hold my own with 90% of the players.

I don't care what position and I'm not sure on a number yet, probably #30 or #55.

For those of you who have not read the story in Frisco STYLE Magazine the reason I'm picking the name "Blackhawks" is due to growing up as a kid dreaming of playing for the "Dallas Blackhawks", not the Chicago Blackhawks!

I'm in. I'd like to play wing and wear #7. I've been skating for about 2 months and playing drop in occassionally.

I'll be at public skating tonight and am going to be signing up for the I-League, so I'm definitely in.

I guess I don't really care what position I play, whatever seems to help best for the team is fine with me.

I guess I can use my son's jersey number choosing scheme and just use my age, so I guess I'd like to wear #35. My son is 5, and I'm pretty sure he'll be disappointed if I'm not #35.

I've been skating for 2 years, mostly at public skating, so I only understand how to skate in a counter clockwise direction. I've never played a game of hockey in my life.

Thanks Guys!

I'll be at the public skate tonight as well. My daughter starts her class @6:15pm so we will skate afterwards.

I'm in, I would like # 27.

I cannot remember when I started scatting, I'm Canadian. I can play forward or defense.

I did play minor league hockey when I was young and did play in garage league back in Montreal before moving to the States 8 years ago.

Looking forward to meeting everybody and having fun.

Chris,

It was good to talk to you today. I am looking forward to playing hockey this season. Since my prefered number is one of the 3 numbers already taken, please put me down for the number 2 if it is still available. As I mentioned, I played a lot of rollerblade hockey when I was in high school, so I at least feel pretty comfortable on ice skates. As far as posiitons go, I see myself as a center or wing, but feel that I would also be comfortable playing defense.

Guys, I've added a "Team Roster" to the right hand column. Please let me know if there is anything that is not correct!

It was great meeting several of you today!

I'm in. I'd like to be #3 if that's not taken or #11.

I'd like to play a forward.

I can play D if necessary but I don't have much of a long shot.

I last played hockey in 2001.

Great job on the page…Thanks Chris!
I have been skating for about 5 years and have played for a couple I-league teams. I am a mediocre player and believe I will be ready for D-league by the end of this session, but who am I to testify for myself.
I favor the number 26 and would prefer to play L or R wing; however, I will play wherever I am needed.
I registered Monday so I am ready to go. I look forward to meeting everybody in April.

I'm in and pretty stoked about it. I would like to follow my son and wear #14. I am coaching his squirt team and it has made me want to play to both get in shape and become a better coach by learning from game situations. I would like to bounce between the wings and D, whatever we need.
